AUTOMATION OF A BEVERAGE FACILITY

While Laporte Consultants designed the process, Laporte Integration provided a turnkey automation solution for the facility.

Laporte Integration designed cost-effective control panels for valve systems, sensors and communication as well as power panels for agitators & pumps. Functional description, programming, process simulation, startup was also successfully executed in a flexible manner to allow manufacturing & automation startup activities to be conducted simultaneously.

A recipe manager allows the client to configure the system for full manufacturing & cleaning (CIP) of the installations.

PHARMACEUTICAL ENVRIONMENTAL

MONITORING SYSTEM

An established pharmaceutical client needed a customized clean room monitoring system to insure compliance to established operating parameters such as room pressurization, temperature and humidity. The system is required to ensure product processing parameters stays within an acceptable range.

The system needed to be distributed throughout the facility. Furthermore, compliance to latest edition of Health Canada and FDA regulations was critical.

Laporte Integration developed a robust, expandable and flexible solution to ensure these conditions were actively monitored, that alarms were sent to mobile devices, that data would be stored adequately and that the system was fully validated.

The team designed the system, panels, interface and performed the commissioning and validation activities.

SUGAR SILO AUTOMATION

Raw ingredient quality is critical in the food and beverage industry.

An existing system required modifications to control temperature and humidity of stored sugar as well as optimize the dosing and conveying systems.

Laporte Integration tackled the situation with efficiency in this electrically classified hazardous environment.

Panel design, component procurement and PLC/HMI code was written and tested prior to the shutdown. When the manufacturing activities were paused, our team jumped in to perform the modification and on-site testing in less time than estimated, resulting in a happy client and optimized system.

MOBILE MANUFACTURING VESSEL

Laporte Integration completed a mobile manufacturing vessel in the pharmaceutical industry.

This triple-agitation tank is fully automated to control all the critical process parameters, such as temperature, pressure and agitation speed. The control system has been designed and validated as per 21 CFR Part 11.

This tank is CIPable and has been integrated to an existing COP skid.
